Lockett who's maiden birth name is Craig, is the daughter of a founding member of the legendary Blue Notes from Merced, which is a groove-oriented sextet of the 50’s and 60's era. A product of that same groove-oriented ancestry, Lockett began singing at age 4 and drawing at age 12. The finished product of her work, is profound with an impeccable illumination of deep cultural roots in music and visual art.
